Qualified product list (QPL)

A database of over 1,300 construction materials that have been pre-approved for use in state highway construction.

Do not submit application and money prior to contacting the QPL Engineer.

The proprietary Wall Design Review process is temporarily closed to new applications.

Search the QPL by selecting a manufacturer or a standard specification

The Qualified Products List is compiled by Washington State Department of Transportation's (WSDOT) Materials Laboratory. Where there is a conflict between the QPL and the contract provisions, the contract provisions shall take precedence over the QPL. WSDOT is not responsible for errors or omissions in the QPL.

In accordance with WSDOT Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction Section 1-06.1(1), this website is considered to be the current QPL.

Products that do not perform or found to be noncompliant with WSDOT specifications may be removed at any time from the QPL. These products will not be re-entered into the QPL or approved for use in the State of Washington until such time that adherence to the specifications can be verified and the products have undergone satisfactory performance evaluation.

Slow down – lives are on the line.

In 2023, speeding continued to be a top reason for work zone crashes.

Even one life lost is too many.

Fatal work zone crashes doubled in 2023 - Washington had 10 fatal work zone crashes on state roads.

It's in EVERYONE’S best interest.

95% of people hurt in work zones are drivers, their passengers or passing pedestrians, not just our road crews.
