Local Agency Guidelines (LAG) manual

The Local Agency Guidelines manual provides policies and standards for local agencies to follow when using Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funds for transportation projects. Updating the manual is a continual process. Questions, observations and recommendations are invited.

Project management review

In order to be certain local agencies are administering FHWA funds in reasonable compliance with the Local Agency Guidelines (LAG), Local Programs will perform procedural reviews on selected local agency ad-and-award projects.

The reviews will cover:

87 wetland compensation sites

actively monitored on 918 acres in 2023.

25,000 safe animal crossings

in the Snoqualmie Pass East Project area since 2014.
