US 395 – NSC I-90 Connection

A community workshop will be held at "The Hive" - Meeting rooms A & B on Wednesday, May 10, from 5:30 - 7 p.m. regarding final design on the North Spokane Corridor connection to I-90. If you are unable to attend the workshop, please take our brief online survey which discusses the alternative I-90 and NSC connection designs.

Project overview

This is the final project to construct the North Spokane Corridor and connect to I-90. This is the last step to create the limited access 10.5 mile freeway north/south through Spokane that will remove freight and trips off of the local system.

What to expect

This project will be completed through the Design-Build process. A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) will be issued on May 13, 2024. After the RFQ responses from the Design-Build teams are reviewed, Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued on July 15, 2024. The selected Design-Build team will receive their contract to begin design around May 1, 2025, and design the project through the rest of 2025. We anticipate construction will begin in the spring of 2026 and be completed in late 2030.
