US 2/Sexton Creek to Pilchuck River Fish Passage

Project overview

This project will remove a fish passage barrier on US 2 at Sexton Creek just south of Three Lakes Road near Snohomish. Contractor crews working for WSDOT will remove the two existing 5-foot steel culverts that run for over 180 feet under US 2 and replace them with a fish-passable structure. This new structure has the potential to open habitat for Chinook, coho, pink and chum salmon and steelhead, sea-run cutthroat, bull and resident trout.
