The Pedestrian / Bicyclist Program (PBP) provides funding to improve pedestrian and bicyclist safety and mobility and to increase active transportation trips (RCW 47.04.430).

The Safe Routes to Schools Program (SRTS) provides funding to improve safety and mobility for children by enabling and encouraging them to walk and bicycle to school. Visit RCW 27.04.300 for more information regarding the program purpose. Funding from this program is for projects within two miles of primary, middle and high schools (K-12).

Slow down on ice and snow.

Winter conditions could mean chains are required on your route. Practice putting them on your vehicle ahead of time.

Pack your winter car kit.

Carry extra supplies like warm clothing, ice scraper and brush, jumper cables and other emergency items.
