Airport Minimum Standards

Airport Minimum Standards establish the baseline requirements that aeronautical businesses and service providers must meet in order to operate on an airport. These standards help ensure compliance with FAA policies and grant assurances, promote safe operations, protect airport assets, and provide a fair and consistent framework for all tenants and commercial operators.

The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and the FAA recognize Minimum Standards as an important airport management tool to ensure aeronautical services are provided at a level that meets industry expectations while maintaining fairness among operators. Properly developed standards can also reduce conflicts, support airport planning efforts, and strengthen the airport's ability to meet its obligations as a public-use facility.

Airport Information System

Airport Information System (AIS) users must use SecureAccess Washington (SAW) to login.

If you already have a SecureAccess Washington (SAW) Account, then log into your account and follow steps 5 - 12

If you are new to SecureAccess Washington (SAW), please follow all steps to set up and add Airport Information System to your SAW Account

• Step 1:  Register / Log in to Secure Access Washington        
• Step 2:  Open your default web browser to: https://secureaccess.wa.gov/
• Step 3:  Register as a new User: If needed, select the “Sign Up!” button and follow the instructions.
• Step 4:  Once registered with SAW use the login.
• Step 5:  After logging in to SAW, you should automatically start at the ‘My Secure Services’ list.
• Step 6:  Select the “Add New Service Button.”
• Step 7:  Select "I have been given a code by an agency."
• Step 8:  Contact the AIS Admin Team to receive the "Service Code" at  AISadmin@WSDOT.WA.GOV
• Step 9:   Wait for approval: A confirmation email will be generated notifying you that access has been granted.
• You’re not done! Please go to Step 10!
• Step 10: Open your AIS User Profile and complete all data fields marked with a red asterisk (*). Then select all airports you want to be associated with and select your preferred contact type(s).  Click “Add,” then wait for approval.
• Step 11: https://secureaccess.wa.gov/
