SHINE – A project intended to create safer roads and improve traffic flow on State Route 104 near the Hood Canal Bridge begins Monday, May 13.
SHINE – Travelers who use the State Route 104 Hood Canal Bridge overnight should prepare for a series of overnight closures in May and June as construction resumes on the bridge.
The Hood Canal Bridge will close to all travelers overnight between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. most weeknights over a four-week period.
OLYMPIA – This summer, whether heading to the Hoh Rainforest or windswept Pacific Ocean beaches, travelers will see some additional views through the windshield: orange cones and multiple work zones.

PORT LUDLOW – The quest to open new habitat for local and migratory fish continues in Jefferson County after Labor Day weekend.
At 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5, contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close State Route 19 from Egg and I Road to Larson Lake Road for 10 days to remove and replace a culvert blocking fish passage at Swansonville Creek. The roadway will reopen at 6 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 15.
QUILCENE – Travelers heading out along the Hood Canal on US 101 in Jefferson County should take note of a culvert-replacement detour beginning Monday, July 31, and lasting for 22 days.
Beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, July 31, US 101 will close a few miles north of Quilcene from Leland Valley Road to Leland Cut Off Road. The road will remain closed until 7 p.m. Monday, August 21.
