SR 3 - Chico Creek - Remove Fish Barriers - Completed November 2024
Timeline: September 2021 - November 2024
This project replaced several barriers to fish beneath SR 3 and its southbound on- and off-ramps. The project built new SR 3 bridges over Chico Creek, realigned the on- and off-ramps, built an elevated bridge on Chico Way NW and rerouted Chico Creek beneath SR 3.

SR 3, SR 16 and SR 166, Gorst Vicinity - Remove Fish Barriers
Timeline: 2026 - 2029
This project will remove barriers to fish migration under State Route 3, SR 16 and SR 166 in Kitsap County. New bridges or larger culverts will replace five outdated culverts. Work includes construction of a roundabout at the SR 3, SR 16 Spur and West Sam Christopherson Avenue intersection.

Timeline: 2027 - 2030
This project will remove barriers to fish under several state highways in Kitsap County. Work is planned in 29 locations on state routes 3, 104, 303, 307 and 308.
Once complete, this project will restore approximately 93 miles of potential habitat across the Kitsap Peninsula.
