Access to Spokane Community College from Augusta Avenue is closed until project completion. Access to the community college from Greene Street between Baldwin and Indiana Avenue is also closed for the duration of the project. Drivers can access SCC from Greene Street at Ermina Avenue or at various access points along Mission Avenue.
Project overview
Contractor crews will be constructing the raised freeway of the North Spokane Corridor between Mission Avenue and Ermina Avenue over Spokane Community College's parking lot. This project consists of two bridge structures, one for northbound future US 395 traffic and one for southbound future US 395 traffic. This is the first project to build a new segment of the North Spokane Corridor south of the Spokane River.
What to expect
Students or those traveling around Spokane Community College will have limited access near the construction site. While work is happening off local roadways, access to Spokane Community College from Augusta Avenue has been closed for the duration of the project. The south entrance to Spokane Community College will also be closed for several weeks.
