SR 525/I-405 Interchange to SR 99 Vicinity - Paving & ADA

Project overview

Crews working for WSDOT will pave roughly two miles in both directions of State Route 525 from the Interstate 405 interchange to just south of 148th Street Southwest, as well as, eight ramps. The two bridges over Alderwood Mall Parkway and Maple Road will not be paved. Once contractor crews finish grinding and inlaying new HMA, (Hot Mix Asphalt), the roadway surface will have a smoother ride that will preserve for years to come.

What to expect

Most of the work will take place at night. There will be full directional closures of SR 525 while crews pave the right lanes of the highway. Traffic will be shifted to the right shoulder when crews pave the left lanes. Eight ramps will have full closures at times throughout the project. Dates for closures have not been set.

This project will pave and make ADA improvements in both directions of State Route 525 from Interstate 405 to just south of 148th Street Southwest.
