What to expect

The 24th Avenue South bridge over SR 518 will be closed to vehicle traffic throughout the remainder of project, with a detour available using South 152nd Street, Tukwila International Boulevard and South 154th Street. A shoulder over the bridge will remain open for pedestrians, bicyclists and other rollers.

Drivers along eastbound and westbound SR 518 also will see periodic nightly single-lane closures near 24th Avenue South (MP 1.40 to 2.70) and nightly closures of the South 154 Street off-ramp.

The two directional closures of eastbound SR 518 to demolish the damaged girder and lift a new one into place completed in mid-August 2023.
