Project overview
This project will install a compact roundabout at the intersection of SR 26 and 1st Avenue. This intersections was selected due to existing crash patterns.
This roundabout will increase the safety and mobility of this intersection. The current configuration has many turning constraints limiting the mobility of this intersection. With the installation of a roundabout, westbound trucks on SR 26 will have the ability to take a left onto the SR 24 spur instead of following the existing truck route through Othello.
