I-90/WB E Sunset Way to E Fork Issaquah Crk - PCCP Replace & Deck Overlay

Project overview

On westbound I-90 we will add drainage and replace concrete panels – about 1,500 feet with asphalt and other panels with concrete – to smooth a 1-mile section of rough freeway about a mile west of SE High Point Way. In addition, repairs will take place at two bridges along the East Fork Issaquah Creek between Preston and Highlands Drive Northeast.

What to expect

This project will require six major week-long lane reductions on westbound I-90, from Sunday night to either Thursday or Friday morning. Most of these weeks, westbound I-90 will be reduced to one lane. There will also be overnight lane reductions.

All lanes of westbound I-90 in these areas will be open at a minimum from Friday mornings to Sunday nights. During the lane reductions, our contractor crews will require:

  • Two weeks to improve drainage and repave all lanes of westbound I-90 near milepost 19.
  • Two weeks to replace concrete just before the I-90 bridge about a mile west of High Point Way.
  • Two weeks to repave the bridge about a mile east of the SE 82nd Street on-ramp near Preston.
  • Individual concrete panels will be replaced during overnight lane reductions.

We’ll announce the dates for these lane reductions as soon as we have them.

We will replace or repair concrete on a mile-long section of westbound I-90 near Issaquah. We will also repair two bridges.
