I-90/WB E Sunset Way to E Fork Issaquah Crk - PCCP Replace & Deck Overlay

Project overview

On westbound I-90 just east of Issaquah, in late summer 2022 we added drainage and replaced about 1,550 feet of concrete panels with asphalt. Through summer 2023 we also will replace select concrete panels to smooth a 1-mile section of rough freeway about 1.5 miles west of SE High Point Way. In addition, repairs will take place at two bridges along the East Fork Issaquah Creek between Preston and Highlands Drive Northeast. This project is combined with another rehabilitation project on I-5 to reduce costs.

Two more bridge deck repairs will take place at a date to be determined, one on westbound I-90 about four miles west of Preston and the other about a mile east of Preston on eastbound I-90. These are part of a separate bridge deck preservation project.

Crews also are continuing pavement repair work on westbound I-90. Expect nightly lane closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

We replaced or repaired concrete on a mile-long section of westbound I-90 near Issaquah. We will also repair two bridges.
