Project overview
This is a preservation project that will remove and replace the northbound I-5 East Fork Lewis River Bridge, located south of Woodland in Clark County. This bridge crosses over the East Fork of the Lewis River, Paradise Point State Park and Northwest Toenjes Road, near milepost 18.21.
What to expect
When construction begins, travelers should prepare for three years of construction with nighttime single and double lane closures. During the day, three lanes of travel will remain open and minimal traffic impacts are expected.
Project Status
This project uses the Design-Build method, which includes a multi-step process to select a Design-Build team. The Design-Builder will handle both the design and the construction of the project together. The main goal of this approach is to meet project objectives while also reducing risks and saving time.
The next step involves teams submitting their proposals. These proposals will be reviewed, and the contract will be awarded to the team that provides the best value. Following this, the project will transition into the Design-Build Phase, allowing the Design-Builder to start design work while construction begins at the same time.
