Long-term closure of 24th Avenue South bridge over SR 518 begins July 5
SEATAC – Eastbound State Route 518 near Sea-Tac International Airport will close for two consecutive weekends in mid-July to replace a damaged bridge girder. This repair also requires a 14-week closure of the 24th Avenue South bridge over SR 518, beginning Wednesday, July 5.
Slow down on ice and snow.
It's easier to skid or lose control traveling at higher speeds. Give yourself more time to stop.
Carry chains, practice installing them.
Winter conditions could mean chains are required on your route. Practice putting them on your vehicle ahead of time.
Pack your winter car kit.
Carry extra supplies like warm clothing, ice scraper and brush, jumper cables and other emergency items.
