Battery Street Tunnel and North Surface Streets

Project news (last updated 10/16/2020)

  • Crews have finished filling the Battery Street Tunnel. Crews will continue to remove tunnel vent grates and fan boxes through the end of the year.
  • Work is nearly complete on the North Surface Streets project. Construction barrels will remain on Sevent Avenue North into early 2021, when a new signal pole at the Denny Way intersection will be installed and its signals turned on.
