Seasonal reopening of SR 504 Spirit Lake Memorial Highway delayed to July 4, due to COVID-19 pandemic
TOUTLE – Each spring, the gates on State Route 504 usually swing open to allow travelers onto the upper reaches of the road, also known as Spirit Lake Memorial Highway. This year however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the reopening was delayed.
On Saturday, July 4, the U.S. Forrest Service in coordination with Washington State Department of Transportation, reopened the gates on State Route 504 near Coldwater Lake. Please check the Gifford Pinchot National Forest’s website for a list of what recreation sites are open and closed.
