SR 702 8th Avenue South Roundabout Pre-Design Study

This project is estimated to cost $2,346,586 and is funded through the Highway Safety Improvement Program. This cost is a rough estimate and subject to changes based on final design factors and project award.

The concept is a single lane roundabout with a diameter of approximately 80 feet. The center island is paved and intended to be fully mounted, if needed, by larger vehicles. This concept includes raised splitter islands at the chicanes on all four legs. The east leg features extended pavement striping and a warning sign to address the sight distance issue with the hill for westbound traffic. Approximate length of legs: 400 feet on the west leg, 750 feet on the east leg, and 90 feet on the south leg.
