The study, led by the City of Bremerton, has put together a list of proposed projects to improve the SR 303 Corridor. The draft preferred alternative list has been presented to stakeholders, City Council and the public for comment. The draft preferred alternative was developed by the study team with guidance from the Stakeholder Advisory Group and public feedback and is made up of projects that survived two rounds of qualitative evaluation and have been found to meet the needs of the corridor. The report is available for viewing and downloading online.
The SR 303 Corridor Study began in the Summer of 2019 and was completed Summer 2021.
July - September 2019
Develop study workplan and purpose and need, begin community engagement, establish stakeholder advisory group
October - December 2019
Establish baseline and future conditions, stakeholder advisory group meetings
January 2020 - August 2021
Stakeholder group meetings, public engagement, incorporate public and stakeholder input, finalize corridor improvements, complete report
Funding for the study is provided by a Legislative proviso in the amount of $450,000 in state funds and $50,000 from the City of Bremerton.
