Funding
The cost of this project is estimated at approximately $7.8 million

What to expect

Once construction begins, travelers should expect weekday, daytime, single lane closures with flaggers and a pilot car leading travelers through the work zone. Travelers should plan for delays of up to 20 minutes. Bicyclists will be transported through the work zone when work crews are present. Any extended highway closures will be announced in advance.

As with any highway construction project, travelers must exercise caution. Traveling at slower speeds decreases the chance of work zone crashes and helps to keep travelers and highway work crews safe. Please be patient when traveling in work zones.

Contractor crews will work to repair a nearly 20-mile stretch of US 97, between Centerville Road and Ski Lodge Road, creating a smoother, safer driving surface for all users of the highway.
