SR 7/Unnamed Tribs to S Creek - Remove Fish Barriers & Paving

Combining the fish barrier removal projects with repaving SR 7 will reduce the overall construction timeline. Merging the projects also are expected to reduce the overall costs. 

Correcting fish passage barriers is an important part of WSDOT's efforts to protect and restore fish runs.

Crews will replace two outdated culverts. Crews also will build features that will replicate a natural stream. The improvements support every life cycle of fish.

Sections of the highway are showing signs of wear and tear. This includes cracks and ruts. Improving the highway surface eliminates and helps prevent future potholes. Fresh pavement removes cracks and wheel ruts where water can collect. This gives drivers an improved ride especially during heavy rain.

Repaving preserves the highway structure and reduces the potential for costly emergency repairs.
