Project overview
This project will grind and inlay a little more than 12 miles of roadway on US 395 in Stevens County between the intersection with SR 292 in Loon Lake north to Hafer Road. Crews will be grinding out the pavement and replacing the roadway surface with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) to create a smoother ride and preserve the roadway. This project also constructs a compact roundabout at the SR 292 and US 395 intersection in Loon Lake. Following a safety analysis of the area, it was determined the low-cost option of a compact roundabout would improve traffic flow and increase safety.
What to expect
This project was completed in June of 2023. There are no impacts to the traveling public.
