Project overview
This summer, crews will repair the westbound bridge deck on US 12 located above Gordon Road between the North 16th Avenue and North 1st Street exits in Yakima. Crews will also repair the westbound I-82 off-ramp to North 1st Street.
What to expect
During construction, two lanes of traffic will be open in each direction on US 12 by shifting one lane of traffic onto the adjacent eastbound bridge. Access entering and exiting N. 1st Street in Yakima will be limited at times, but alternate routes will be available. Please follow the signs as the traffic shift may change at times, plan for added travel time, and follow reduced speeds through the work zone. Residents that live near Gordon Road under the bridge will have full access to their homes.
No construction is planned during the winter months and all routes will be restored to their normal configuration. Construction will resume in 2024 as crews repair the eastbound US 12 bridge above Gordon Road.
