Project overview
This project replaces bridge bearings on the north side of the US 101 Chehalis River Bridge in Aberdeen.
What to expect
Travelers will see four nighttime bridge access closures with detours.
The southbound US 101/H Street access will close on two different nights. Once to raise the bridge slightly to get weight off the bearings and place temporary supports. The access will also close overnight when the bearing replacement is complete and the temporary supports are removed.
The same will happen on the northbound US 101/G Street exit.
East State Street will close around the clock under the bridge during work.
Updated closure schedule:
The southbound US 101/H Street access to the bridge and the northbound US 101/G Street exit from the bridge are now scheduled to be closed in early January. Crews will lower both sections of the bridge back to the original position on the same night. The schedule will be announced here, on the statewide travel map and WSDOT app once finalized.
