US 101/Chehalis River Bridge - Bridge Bearing Replacement

From 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 to 5 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, the northbound US 101/G Street exit from the Chehalis River Bridge will close.

This project replaces bridge bearings on the north side of the US 101 Chehalis River Bridge in Aberdeen.

What to expect

Travelers will see four nighttime ramp closures with detours. 

The southbound US 101/H Street ramp will close on two different nights. Once to raise the ramp slightly to get weight off the bearings and place temporary supports. The ramp will also close overnight when the bearing replacement is complete and the temporary supports are removed. 

The same will happen on the northbound US 101/G Street ramp.  

East State Street will close around the clock under each ramp during work.

The southbound US 101/H Street ramp to the Chehalis River Bridge will close:

  • 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13 to 5 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14

The northbound Chehalis River Bridge ramp to US 101/G Street will close:

  • 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 to 5 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 

A second closure of the G Street ramp will occur to lower the bridge after work is complete.
