This project will improve the Kamm Ditch fish passage on SR 546/E. Badger Road, east of Northwood Road (milepost 4), in Whatcom County. Construction on this fish passage project began in July 2022. This project requires some modifications before it can be completed.

What to expect

Construction on this fish passage project began in July 2022. This project requires some modifications before it can be completed. Crews will begin making them this summer and travelers should expect a 5-day full closure.

  • From 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday, July 15 to July 19 and again July 29 to July 30, travelers should expect flaggers to alternate traffic through a single lane.
  • From 5 p.m. Sunday, July 21 until 5 a.m., Friday, July 26, travelers should expect a 5-day full closure of SR546/East Badger Road. A signed detour will be in place.
