Project overview
In Spring 2022, contractor crews working for WSDOT will begin replacing the 38 steel anchor cables on the Lacey V. Murrow and Homer M. Hadley Memorial floating bridge across Interstate 90. Work is expected to be complete this fall.
What to expect
Travelers should not expect any lane closures or delays related to this project. A majority of the work will take place underwater, but there will be a barge with a large crane on it visible to drivers crossing I-90.
Crews are replacing 38 steel anchor cables across the I-90 floating bridge as part of regular maintenance needed every 25-30 years. Most of the work happens underwater.
