The states of Oregon and Washington have both identified the need to replace the aging Interstate Bridge over the Columbia River and committed funding to restart these efforts. To advance this critical bi-state infrastructure work, the Oregon Department of Transportation and Washington State Department of Transportation will identify a single program administrator who is responsible to both DOTs to lead the program office.

ASHFORD – A portion of State Route 706 leading to Mount Rainier National Park will remain closed until further notice due to an unstable hillside above the highway. As the continuing slide remains too dangerous to remove at this point, the Washington State Department of Transportation does not know when the highway will reopen.
