Emergency slide repairs begin on SR 165, south of Carbonado

On Monday, Oct. 17, WSDOT's emergency contractor, Scarsella Bros., is scheduled to begin repair work at two slide locations between mileposts 10.93 and 11.72, just south of Carbonado near the Fairfax Bridge.

Changes coming to westbound SR 16 near Purdy

Weather permitting, as early as Sunday, Oct. 9, construction crews will move two westbound lanes of SR 16 towards the median near Purdy. The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph from the current 60 mph between milepost 17.15 and milepost 18.

Nighttime closures of northbound I-5 planned Sept. 28-29 to remove damaged SR 506 overpass near Toledo

Over the last 14 months, the closure of State Route 506 over Interstate 5 near Toledo has forced people to take the long way home. Following a bridge strike to the northbound span of the overpass by an over height load on Thursday, Sept. 22, the damaged overpass will remain closed to travelers until further notice.

SEATTLE – Travelers should plan ahead and find alternate routes for trips across Lake Washington and southbound Interstate 5 in Seattle. Beginning Friday night, Sept. 30, State Route 520 will close across the lake and southbound I-5 will have closures near the off-ramp to Columbian Way and the West Seattle Bridge.
