What to expect

Contractor crews will begin working in late May, with work anticipated to last through mid-August. Work will consist of removing sections of the bridge decks and pouring new concrete in several locations within Adams, Franklin, Lincoln, Stevens, and Whitman Counties. Bridges included in the work include:

  • SR 21 just south of I-90 interchange (Adams County)
  • SR 21 five miles south of Wilbur (Lincoln County)
  • SR 23 south of Harding Road between Sprague and Harrington (Lincoln County)
  • SR 25 over the Columbia River in Northport (Stevens County)
  • SR 26 east of LaCrosse Airport Road (Whitman County)
  • SR 26 over Willow Creek south of LaCrosse (Whitman County)
  • SR 260 between Durham Ave. and Spokane Ave. in Kahlotus (Franklin County)

Work on each bridge will last several days, and during the repairs each bridge will be subject to lane closures and flagging. At least one through lane will remain open during the repair process, and flagging wait times may last up to 20 minutes.
