Expect big backups during weekend lane closures on SR 303 Warren Avenue Bridge in Bremerton
Traffic reduced to one lane in each direction over three weekends
BREMERTON – Travelers who use the State Route 303 Warren Avenue Bridge in Bremerton will want to plan for possible miles long backups over three separate weekends in July.
Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will reduce the bridge to one lane in each direction during the following dates and times for bridge repair and preservation work:
Work to repair five state bridge decks kicks off in early June
Crews will restore structures in Grays Harbor, Mason, Jefferson and Kitsap counties
OLYMPIA – As warmer conditions arrive in the Pacific Northwest, contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will repair five bridges in Grays Harbor, Jefferson, Kitsap and Mason counties. Work will begin in early June.
Slow down on ice and snow.
It's easier to skid or lose control traveling at higher speeds. Give yourself more time to stop.
Carry chains, practice installing them.
Winter conditions could mean chains are required on your route. Practice putting them on your vehicle ahead of time.
Pack your winter car kit.
Carry extra supplies like warm clothing, ice scraper and brush, jumper cables and other emergency items.
