Project overview
In fall 2023, contractor crews will begin to replace the severely-damaged northern span of the Lind Avenue Southwest bridge over southbound Interstate 405 in Renton. The Lind Avenue overpass will remain closed to vehicles until work is complete.

What to expect
To replace this span, several I-405 closures are planned, mostly during overnight lane reductions on I-405. Details will be posted here when the work is scheduled.
The Lind Avenue overpass, just west of the SR 167/I-405 overpass, was damaged when several of its girders were struck by a backhoe that was being carried on a trailer on June 13, 2022.
