Background
Washington State Ferries operates the largest ferry system in the United States. It has 21 ferries that serve the Greater Puget Sound and its inland waterways, carrying 18.9 million passengers to 19 different ports of call in FY2024. WSF acts as a marine highway for commercial users, tourists and daily commuters alike.
Approximately 1,800 dedicated employees work together to make WSF the most popular tourist attraction in the state.
