Corridor Study

SR 410 / 234th Avenue to Garrett Street Corridor Study

Study Purpose

WSDOT will examine traffic congestion along a busy section of State Route 410 between Bonney Lake and Enumclaw, developing potential strategies to reduce congestion and improve safety benefits including replacing or expanding the SR 410 White River Bridge. The study will evaluate how to improve current and future travel conditions using strategies identified through the Practical Solutions planning approach.

Public Outreach

The public was encouraged to comment on corridor improvements by attending two available open house events in Buckley and Enumclaw:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018 - 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Buckley Council Chambers/Multi-purpose Room
  • Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018 - 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Enumclaw City Hall Council Chambers

End result

This study will summarize existing and future conditions along the SR 410 corridor between Bonney Lake and Enumclaw based on data and stakeholder input received through survey results and open house feedback. Additionally, the intent of this study is to propose near-, mid-, and long-term strategies to improve travel and corridor conditions for travelers. Recommendations will guide WSDOT moving forward in identifying future solutions.

Funding for this study is provided by the Washington State Motor Vehicle Account. A total of $300,000 was allocated during the 2017-2019 biennium.
