SEATTLE – Washington State Ferries’ peak season begins Wednesday, May 1, with an additional 25 percent surcharge applied to full fare vehicle/driver tickets (35 percent on the Anacortes/San Juan Islands routes). Summer parking rates at Anacortes will also go into effect on May 1.
Peak-season rates are unchanged from 2012. The surcharge does not affect passenger fares or frequent user multi-ride fares.
Fare examples for standard-size vehicles (14 feet long to less than 22 feet long):
Through April 30 May 1 through
Seattle/Bainbridge one way $13.15 $16.40
round trip $42.55 $57.35
The seasonal surcharge helps pay for increased operational costs that come with increased traffic May through September.
Prices for the Anacortes Terminal parking lot will also be changed to summer rates May 1:
$10 per day $80 for 14 days
$20 for 48 hours/two days $90 for 15 days

$30 for 96 hours/four days $110 for 17 days
