All oversize and overweight permits are now processed on an online program called the Electronic System Network for Oversize and Overweight Information (eSNOOPI). WSDOT offices as well as permit agents access this web-based program for efficient processing of permits. Access is also available to authorized self-issuing carriers.
Agents
Private businesses can become permit agents to issue Washington state oversize and overweight permits. A one-day training program, the signing of a user agreement, and an annual refresher training each fall is all that is required to allow agents to issue the permits listed on WSDOT's All Permit Types web page to trucking companies. We currently have 13 agents inside WA as well as outside the state. All that is needed is access to the Internet with a high-speed cable connection and browser, Internet Explorer 5.0 or newer
Self-Issuing Companies
»NOTE: We are not accepting self issuers at this time. We are in the process of updating our permit program.
This program is also available to authorized companies to issue themselves permits for their fleet. This program is available to these companies seven days a week 24 hours a day. For a list of permits available to self-issue and to request authorization to self-issue permits, visit our Self-Issue Permits page. There are currently over 200 trucking companies with access to process permits for their fleet. All that is needed is access to the Internet with a high-speed cable connection and browser, Internet Explorer 5.0 or newer. All payment transactions must be made by credit card. The only credit cards authorized are Visa and Master Card.
