Service Contingency Plan

Find out how we will provide service during unexpected disruptions.

We released an updated Service Contingency Plan (PDF 1.8MB) in April 2026. The plan describes what we will do if a ferry becomes unavailable. This could happen because of unexpected problems with a vessel or terminal or a crew shortage. Our goal is to be honest with customers by clearly showing how we will provide as much service as possible. 

The plan is an update to our 2025 Service Contingency Plan (PDF 2.3MB), which provided a framework for service decisions over the coming years, including the restoration of service to three routes in mid-2025.
