Project Description: This project provides for the improvement Bridge 82/268 on I-82 from MP 114.39 to 114.41 in Benton County. This work shall include but is not limited to providing temporary traffic control and temporary detour as needed, installing concrete barrier, and an impact attenuator, installing delineation, removing one damaged girder, a portion of the concrete bridge deck and the concrete traffic barrier over that girder and other work.

SCR 2020 Region Wide – Chip Seal and Pavement Preservation

SR 225 Both Directions of Traffic at MP 2.6 to MP 11.3:
Wednesday July 15 through Friday July 17, both directions of traffic should be prepared for one-way piloted traffic control during daylight hours. Traffic delays up to 15 minutes are anticipated

 

SR 224 MP 5 (east of Keene Rd.) - City of West Richland – Paradise Way intersection and Utility extension

Project Description: This is a developer project within the City of West Richland. Work includes widening the highway and constructing a new at-grade intersection along SR 224 with right- and left-turn channelization, illumination, sidewalk, and new utility installations.

SR 240/Duportail Rd Intersection Improvements

Project Description: This is the Duportail Bridge Phase 2 project that provides for reconstructing and widening of SR 240/ Duportail Street intersection at MP 33.86 to support the increased traffic associated with the Local Agency's Duportail/ Stevens Corridor improvement. Phase 2 work reconstructs the SR 240 / Duportail Street intersection from the south side of Riverstone Drive to the north side of Cottonwood and approximately 400 feet in both the east and west directions along SR 240. The project includes widening and improving the at-grade railroad crossing of the Port of Benton Railroad Track. It also includes adding acceleration and deceleration lanes along SR 240. Work taking place within the WSDOT right of way includes lowering the profile of SR 240 to match the Duportail Street Alignment. Major work items would include roadway grading, placing crushed surfacing, asphalt paving, cement concrete curb and gutter, cement concrete sidewalks, traffic signal system, illumination system, utility relocations, and storm drainage. 

This project is scheduled to be completed by Fall 2020

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
Access closure at Duportail Rd to and from SR 240, 24 hours a day and seven days a week for roadway construction improvements. Detours will be place.

US 395 Safety Corridor Improvements & E Elm Rd to SR 17 SB  Paving

Project Description: This projects provides for the improvement of US 395 in Franklin County from MP 24.64 to MP 46.10 by rehabilitating the existing roadway, including crack sealing, planing, paving, illumination, ITS, furnishing and installing one cantilever sign structure, permanent signing, constructing acceleration and deceleration lanes, recessed pavement markers, rumble strips, roadway delineation, traffic control.
This project is due to be completed by Late July 2020.

US 395 NB & SB Milepost 26 to 28, Vineyard Dr:
Left lane closures both north and southbound will remain in place for the next two weeks, while construction crews complete paving and pavement markings.

US 395 NB and SB Milepost 25 to 26, Foster Wells Rd:
Left lane closures will be in place next week starting on Monday July 13, 24 hours a day, as construction crews resume roadway excavation of the median. 

US 395 NB Milepost 28 to 31, Phend Rd to Crest Loch Rd both:
Left lane closure northbound will remain in place Monday July 13 and Tuesday July 14 while crews complete pavement markings.

US 395 SB Milepost 29 to 30, Selph Landing Rd:
Left lane closure will remain in place until Friday July 17 while crews complete pavement markings.

US 395 Milepost 31 to 33, Sagemoor Road: 
No significant traffic impacts anticipated this week.

I-90 MP 33 to 52 468th Ave SE to W Summit RD - Westbound Rehab Concrete

Project description: This project is two seasons and will rehabilitate concrete panels and shoulders along this section of I-90. This project is to be completed sometime in late fall of 2020.

Bicycle detour is in affect for this project.  Detour starts at MP 54 WB Exit (SR 906/Hyak Interchange).  Detour maps can be found on a post just after turning left at the end of the exit ramp.

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
I-90 milepost 33 to milepost 52 westbound:

Drivers can expect night time intermittent lane closures between milepost 34 near North Bend to milepost 52 near Snoqualmie Pass. Night time work may reduce traffic to one lane. Drivers should plan for added travel time through this area.

Drivers can expect night time intermittent lane closures between milepost 34 near North Bend to milepost 52 near Snoqualmie Pass. Night time work may reduce traffic to two lane. Drivers should plan for added travel time through this area.

I-90  Puget Sound Energy - Utility Work

Project Description: Puget Sound Energy’s contractor will be performing utility work along I-90, about 1 mile east of the I-90 Exit 54 interchange between milepost 55.17 to milepost 56.90 on buried power lines along Keechelus Lake.

Project Description: Crews are building a wider and more reliable five-mile stretch of I-90 from Hyak to Keechelus Dam by adding lanes, replacing and adding bridges, stabilizing rock slopes and replacing the snowshed with avalanche bridges.

I-90 in both directions, there will be left lane closures day and night with night time 12 foot wide limit.

 

I-90 EASTON HILL TO W EASTON I/C WB – REPLACE BRIDGE AND BUILD DETOUR

Project Description: This Contract provides for the improvement of I-90 from MP 64.48 to MP 70.36, in Kittitas County, by widening the westbound pavement for use as a future eastbound detour, building one prestressed girder bridge and one prestressed voided slab concrete girder bridge, rock slope blasting, pavement repair, traffic control.

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
I-90 westbound between milepost 64.48 to milepost 70.36,  drivers use caution there is a slight revision with the traffic lanes.  Traffic lanes are shifting to the right and will stay right for approximately 500’ before opening up to the existing three lane section going up the rest of the grade. This revision will be in place until late fall of 2020

 

I-90 Bullfrog Rd Vic-Concrete Rehab, Bridge Deck Rehab and Painting

Project Description: This project provides for the improvement of I-90 by cleaning and painting the metal surfaces of the Cle Elum River Bridges, eastbound and westbound, heat straightening, steel repair, pier concrete spall repair, modifying expansion joints, scarifying concrete surfaces, further deck preparation, furnishing, placing, curing and texturing concrete overlay, also including non-bridge work by constructing and removing temporary roadway, constructing and removing temporary bridge replacing PCCP lanes and panels, cement concrete pavement grinding, weigh-in-motion replacement, guardrail installation, paving HMA shoulders, and roadway delineation. This project is due to be completed by Summer, 2021.

Through September 2020, westbound traffic will be shifted onto a temporary bridge in the median to accommodate work on the westbound bridge over the Cle Elum River.

This design build project will provide for the construction of a new eastbound off ramp, a new westbound on ramp and other work to complete the interchange of I-82 and US 97.

I-82/East of Zillah - Emergency Culvert Repair

Project Description: This project provides for the improvement of I-82 at MP 55 due to erosion damage from the median to under the roadway surface. The work will include removing and replacing two to four concrete panels, replacing catch basin and culvert, roadway excavation and embankment, placing crushed surfacing base course, and temporary traffic control, other work.

I-82 WB at Grainger Exit (Exit 58):
Westbound will be closed at Exit 58, on Monday July 13 at 8 a.m. 24 hours a day and will reopen Friday July 17.  Detour signs will guide drivers around the closed section to State Route 223 and State Route 22.

Project Description: The City of Yakima will be performing utility work on a sewer line along Fair Avenue from Spruce Street to the I-82 eastbound off ramp (Exist 33A) around milepost 33 vicinity and the I-82- E Yakima Ave - Exit 33 Interchange. The work zone will be limited to a single lane at times.

I-82 eastbound milepost 33,  Fair Avenue on ramp, Monday July 13 through Friday July 17, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  the work zone will be limited to a single lane at times and drivers may experience minor delays. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes if possible.
