US 395/Ridgeline Drive Construct Interchange

Project Description: This contract provides for the improvement of US 395 and Ridgeline Drive by constructing an interchange at Ridgeline Drive and an at-grade intersection improvements at Hildebrand Boulevard, including HMA pavement, bridge structure at Ridgeline Drive, retaining walls, concrete barrier, drainage, water lines, dry sewer line, illumination, traffic signal and traffic signal modifications, permanent signing, temporary traffic control, and other work.
This project is scheduled to be completed by fall 2022

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
US 395 in both directions Monday April 12 through Friday April 16 between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m., there will be shoulder closures within the project limits for construction activities.

 

SR 240/Columbia Center Blvd. - Pedestrian Facility Improvement

Project Description: This contract provides for the improvement of SR 240/Columbia Center Blvd. Interchange at MP 38.92 by installing pedestrian facilities including sidewalks, curb, bridge rail, replacing and updating existing traffic signal and lighting systems, traffic control, and other work.

This project is scheduled to be completed by late May (spring) 2021

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
Monday April 12 through Friday April 16 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., there will be shoulder closures for construction activities on Columbia Drive in both directions. Due to City of Richland work on Columbia Park trail, northbound Columbia Drive traffic will have city detours in place.

 

SR 224 MP 4.7 (west of Keene Rd.) – W. Richland Police Facility Widening

Project Description: This City of West Richland project widens SR 224 to provide a center turn lane.  Work includes widening the highway, constructing new roadway approaches, illumination, and other utility installations.

Project description: This project is two seasons and will rehabilitate concrete panels and shoulders along this section of I-90. This project is to be completed sometime in late fall of 2021.

Bicycle detour is in affect for this project.  For westbound bicyclists the detour starts at Exit 54 (SR 906/Hyak Interchange) and ends at the 468th Ave. SE interchange just east of North Bend. Detour maps can be found on a post just after turning left at the end of the westbound Exit 54 ramp.

Project Description: This Contract provides for the improvement of I-90 from MP 64.48 to MP 70.36, in Kittitas County, by widening the westbound pavement for use as a future eastbound detour, building one pre-stressed girder bridge and one pre-stressed voided slab concrete girder bridge, rock slope blasting, pavement repair, traffic control.

I-90 Bullfrog Rd Vic-Concrete Rehab, Bridge Deck Rehab and Painting

Project Description: This project provides for the improvement of I-90 by cleaning and painting the metal surfaces of the Cle Elum River Bridges, eastbound and westbound, heat straightening, steel repair, pier concrete spall repair, modifying expansion joints, scarifying concrete surfaces, further deck preparation, furnishing, placing, curing and texturing concrete overlay, also including non-bridge work by constructing and removing temporary roadway, constructing and removing temporary bridge replacing PCCP lanes and panels, cement concrete pavement grinding, weigh-in-motion replacement, guardrail installation, paving HMA shoulders, and roadway delineation. This project is due to be completed by summer, 2021.

I-90 - Yakima River Bridges Deck Repair

Project description: This project repairs the bridge decks in both directions near Cle Elum and Ellensburg. This project is scheduled to be completed in spring of 2021.

I-90 Canyon Rd Interchange EB Ramp Terminal Improvements

Project Description: This Contract provides for the improvement of the eastbound I-90 ramp terminal in Ellensburg at Canyon Road.  The work includes paving, new sidewalks, installation of a roundabout at the intersection, moving barrier and striping.

Traffic should be advised that the travel lanes throughout the project have been modified and revised.

Canyon Rd/I-90 EB On & Off Ramps (Exit 109) – Traffic should be prepared for intermittent flagger controlled lane closures.

I-90 Stevens Rd Vicinity to Vantage – Paving

Project Description: This Contract provides for the improvement of 11.59 miles of eastbound I-90 from MP 125.61 to MP 137.20 and 8.41 miles of westbound I-90 from MP 121.96 to MP 125.43, MP 128.00 to 132.00, and MP 136.26 to MP 137.20 by planning hot mix asphalt, repairing pavement and shoulders, paving hot mix asphalt, replacing rumble strips, fog sealing and reinstalling pavement markings.

I-90 westbound MP 94 Tuesday April 13 from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. there will be left lane closure from mile post 94 to mile post 93 for guardrail repairs. And from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. there will be right lane closure from mile post 93.5 to mile post 92.5 for guardrail repairs.
I-90 westbound MP 93 Wednesday April 14 from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. there will be a right shoulder closure for fence repair.
I-90 westbound MP 90 to MP 91 Wednesday April 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. there will be a left lane closure for guardrail repair.
