I-405, Renton to Bellevue Widening and Express Toll Lanes Project - #9242

Lane closures

  • Monday, Sept. 28 to the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 30 – One lane of southbound I-405 between Northeast 44th Street and North 30th Street will be closed nightly from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Monday, Sept. 28 to the morning of Friday, Oct. 2 – Two lanes of northbound I-405 between SR 181 and SR 167 will be closed nightly from 11 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
  • Monday, Sept. 28 to the morning of Friday, Oct. 2 – Up to three lanes of northbound I-405 between North Southport Drive and Northeast 44th Street will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
  • Monday, Sept. 28 to the morning of Friday, Oct. 2 – One lane of northbound I-405 between North 30th Street and Northeast 44th Street will be closed nightly from 9:45 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

  • Monday, Sept. 28 to the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 30 – The on-ramp to southbound I-405 from Northeast 44th Street will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. A signed detour will be in place.
  • Monday, Sept. 28 to the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 30 – The off-ramp from southbound I-405 to North 30th Street will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. A signed detour will be in place.
  • Monday, Sept. 28 to the morning of Friday, Oct. 2 –The off-ramp from northbound I-405 to Lake Washington Boulevard Southeast will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. A signed detour will be in place.

Trail closures

  • Ongoing through fall 2020 – The King County Eastrail will be closed in both directions between Ripley Lane North in Renton and 106th Avenue Southeast in Bellevue. Trail users will be detoured to the parallel Lake Washington Loop Trail.
  • Ongoing through fall 2020 – The King County Eastrail will be closed in both directions between 106th Avenue Southeast and Lake Washington Boulevard Southeast near Newcastle Beach Park. There is no available pedestrian detour route; bicyclists will be directed to 106th Avenue Southeast and Lake Washington Boulevard.

I-405/SR 167 Interchange Direct Connector - #8811

Description: WSDOT contractor crews are building a new flyover ramp connecting the HOT lanes on SR 167 to the carpool lanes on I-405 in Renton. This ramp will improve traffic flow and safety at this critical interchange.
