Blocking Incidents
  • SR 290 closed for bridge replacement starting near MP 0.5 at the Spokane River, City of Spokane, EB 290 is closed at Hamilton Street, WB 290 is closed at Iron Court, commercial vehicles are diverted to Freya Street, all other traffic can use Mission Street, beginning at 6:18 am on June 3, 2020 until further notice. Follow signed detour route and expect delays.
  • Lane Closures for construction on SR 290 in both directions at milepost 12.5 at Barker Rd, Spokane Valley, the Eastbound Exit to Wellesley Ave will also be closed, beginning at 10:49 am on March 17, 2021, until August 2022. Use other routes and expect long delays at times.
  • City of Spokane bridge inspection work on the Hatch Street Bridge at US195, occurring on Friday, June 18, from 8:30 AM until about 4:30 PM. Drivers should expect lane closures and flaggers.
  • Right lane closure in Liberty Lake on I-90 westbound at Harvard Road, milepost 296 beginning at 8:00 pm on June 17, 2021 until about 5:00 am June 18, 2021.
  • Closure in Liberty Lake on I-90 eastbound at Harvard Road, milepost 296, beginning at 9:00 pm on June 17, 2021 until about 5:00 am June 18, 2021. Detour in place.
  • The Rosamond bridge over I-90 is closed in both directions until further notice. Drivers in the area will need to detour via the Lindeke Street bridge to cross over I-90.
  • City Construction: Post Street Bridge and intersection of Lincoln Street and Summit Boulevard is closed. The bridge will open in 2022.
Construction Closures
  • Construction on I-90 both directions from milepost 295.7 near Harvard Rd Off-Ramp to milepost 296.6 near Harvard Rd Off Ramp until further notice. Crews will be widening the Harvard Road overpass.
  • Construction at the Grove/Geiger interchange with I-90 in both directions at milepost 276.3 until further notice.

    The westbound I-90 off-ramp to Grove Road and the westbound I-90 on-ramp from Grove Road has reopened.

    Eastbound I-90 on and off-ramps to and from Grove Road will remain closed until the weekend of the Fourth of July. Northbound travel across I-90 is closed along with southbound travel past the loop on-ramp to eastbound I-90.
  • The City of Spokane: Starting Wednesday, Nov. 20, contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will begin constructing the North Spokane Corridor (NSC) Wellesley Avenue interchange. During this time, Wellesley Avenue between Market Street and Freya Street will be closed to pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular traffic. The closure and interchange work will last until the end of 2022. Please use alternate routes.
  • North Spokane Corridor construction will cause Euclid Ave. to be reduced one lane in each direction from Market St to Freya St in both directions beginning at 7:00 pm on April 22, 2021 until further notice.
  • Spokane Transit Authority (STA) is constructing a new sheltered bus stop on SR 904 in both directions at milepost 16.6 near First St in Four Lakes until about 12:00 am on July 31, 2021. STA will be constructing a new sheltered bus stop, sidewalks, lighting, and a crosswalk to improve passenger safety.
  • Maintenance crews will be performing bridge deck repairs on the Lindeke Street bridge overcrossing of I-90 beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 7. Drivers will alternate traffic across the bridge by use of a portable signal.

    Continuing is the closure of the Rosamond bridge over I-90 until further notice.
  • Construction on I-90 northbound from milepost 282.4 near Liberty Park Pl to milepost 285.6 near Sprague Ave beginning at 7:00 am on June 14, 2021 until further notice.
  • Spokane County will have lane restrictions on Geiger Blvd between Thomas Mallen Road and Electric Ave (Spokane City Limits) for road work starting on August 17th to about June 30, 2021. Thomas Mallen Road is open. Electric Ave. is open. Geiger Road is Closed at Grove Road. Local businesses are open, please use extreme caution when travelling inside the work zone. Use other routes and expect delays.
  • Spokane County will have Weile Ave closed between Bigelow Gulch Road and Thierman Road, for road work, Starting on May 10, until the end of July 2021.
    Use other routes, expect delays.
  • Spokane County will have lane closures on Elk-Chattaroy Rd from Chattaroy Rd to US 2 for road work, starting June 4, to June 30, 2021. Expect delays.
  • On US 97 between milepost 301 and 314 (south of Tonasket), Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., expect flagger controlled traffic with delays up to 20 minutes. Monday and Tuesday the contractor is repairing pavement, Wednesday and Thursday the mainline will be paved, and Friday the contractor will stripe the new pavement.
