Blocking Incidents
  • SR-123 Cayuse Pass is closed for the season due to adverse road and weather conditions. The closure is from the Arch at the park boundary near milepost 2 to the junction of SR 123 and SR 410.
  • Road work on SR 162, in both directions, from milepost 15.0 near S Prairie Creek to milepost 17.0 near Emery Ave N. Beginning at 7:20 am on April 13, 2021 until about 7:00 pm.
  • On US 2/97 near Cashmere (milepost 110), Eastbound off ramp and westbound turn lane to W. Cashmere Bridge/Goodwin Rd. will be closed. The contractor on the West Cashmere Bridge project will begin roadwork on Hay Canyon Road as early as next week. The road will be torn up and a crew will begin building a roundabout just north of Vale Road. Traffic will be shifted around the work area and travelers can expect flagger controlled traffic during working hours.
  • SR-410 Chinook Pass is closed for the season due to adverse road and weather conditions. Eastbound traffic is closed at milepost 57, Crystal Mountain Boulevard, 12 miles west of the summit. Westbound traffic is closed at milepost 74.5 Morse Creek, 5 miles east of the summit.
  • On US 2 Stevens Pass between milepost 61.9 and 70.5, a reduced speed zone of 50 m.p.h. is in place due to rough road and potholing. Travelers should remain attentive for pot holing of the road through this section of highway and always drive for conditions. Repairs to this stretch of road are planned for June when it is warm enough for hot mix treatment.
  • I-82 milepost 30 Yakima vicinity: Bridge washing and maintenance operations between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    Westbound: Tuesday April 13 there will be a single lane closure.
    Eastbound: Wednesday April 14 the Selah on ramp to east I-82 and the right lane will be closed. A detour to east I-82 will be in place. Thursday April 15 there will be a single lane closure.
  • On SR 17 north of Soap Lake, the Blue Lake safety rest area is closed for the season as of Oct. 26, 2020.

  • On US 2 at milepost 58 (east of Skykomish), the Iron Goat safety rest area is closed for the season as of Nov. 5, 2020.
  • I-82 westbound milepost 19, 11 miles west of Yakima: Monday April 12 through Thursday April 15 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will be a single right lane closure for bridge maintenance.
Construction Closures
  • Monday, March 22, to the morning of Saturday, April 10 - The eastbound SR 520 off-ramp to 40th Street will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly on week nights.
  • On US 97A at milepost 213 (south of Entiat) rock scaling work has wrapped up and there are no more closures scheduled for this project. Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. expect flagger controlled traffic with delays up to 20 minutes , where the contractor is finishing up work.
  • On SR 17 between milepost 51 and 53 (Patton Blvd. to Kittleson Rd. in Moses Lake) Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., expect left lane closures and slow downs with right lanes open for through traffic. All exits and turns will be open.
  • On I-90 between milepost 148 and 165 (George to Moses Lake), Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., expect lane closures and reduced speed where the contractor is paving at grind out locations.
  • Monday, April 12, to the evening of Thursday, April 15 – A single lane of westbound I-90 east of North Bend will close from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
  • Monday, April 12, to the morning of Saturday, April 17 – The eastbound SR 520 off-ramp to 40th Street will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly on week nights.
  • Monday, April 12, to the morning of Saturday, April 17 - The right lane of eastbound SR 520 between 148th Avenue and 40th Street will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • On SR 28 between milepost 30 and 34 (Othello to Moses Lake), Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., expect flagger-controlled traffic with delays where a crew is crack sealing the highway.
  • On SR 207 between milepost 0 and 4 (junction of US 2/SR 207 and Chiwawa Loop Rd.), Tuesday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., expect automated flagger assistant device (AFAD) traffic control with alternating one way traffic and some delays.
  • I-90 milepost 34 to 137 North Bend to Vantage: There are a number of maintenance and construction work zones between North Bend and Vantage. Motorists will experience minor delays this week due to lane closures. Pay attention and slow down as you enter and exit our work zones.
  • Monday, April 12 to the afternoon of afternoon of Tuesday, April 13 – A lane on northbound SR 203 between Entwistle Street and Eugene Street will close from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.
  • Tuesday, April 13 to the afternoon of Thursday, April 15 – A lane on southbound SR 203 between Bird Street and Entwistle Street will close from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.
  • On US 2 eastbound at Fryelands Blvd (MP 13) the right lane is closed due to roadwork.
  • On US 97 between milepost 159 and 160 (Swauk campground), Traffic has been shifted to divided lanes around the work zone in the middle of the lanes. A reduced speed of 35 m.p.h. will be in place, as well as a 10 ft. width restriction for northbound traffic, and a 11 ft. width restriction for southbound traffic. Reduced speed zone and width restrictions remain in place 24/7.
  • On US 2 between milepost 105 and 107 (Don Senn Memorial Interchange/Big Y to Dryden) Monday and Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., be attentive to shoulder closures on both sides of the highway where the crew is performing vegetation control.
  • Monday, April 12 to the afternoon of afternoon of Wednesday, April 14 - Flagging operations on SR 202 between NE 144th Street and NE 124th Street will alternate traffic from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
  • Monday, April 12 to the morning of Thursday, April 15 – Flagging operations on SR 96 will alternate traffic near Lark Dairy Farm from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
  • On US 2 at milepost 100 (intersection of 9th St. in Leavenworth), Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., expect curb and sidewalk closures at one corner of the intersection where a contractor is upgrading failing curb ramps and installing new crossing push buttons. The contractor will complete work at one corner of the intersection then move to the next.
  • Monday, April 12 to the morning of Friday, April 16 – A lane on northbound SR 9 at 4th Street NE will close from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Monday, April 12 to the morning of Thursday, April 15 – A lane on US 2 near Sultan East City Limits will close from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. nightly.
