Needs & benefits
The project will rehabilitate the existing pavement by grinding and paving the top 0.15ft of asphalt; lanes and shoulders. There will be single lane and shoulder closures. Ramps to SR 26 may be closed for short intermittent times as the construction operations travel through the on and off-ramp merge points.

This project will rehabilitate nearly 5 miles of Interstate 90 in both directions by grinding out the current pavement and inlaying new HMA (Hot Mix Asphalt) on the roadway to create a smoother ride.

Keller Ferry users who travel across the Columbia River on State Route 21 will need to find alternate routes until early January because of additional issues uncovered during repairs to the M/V Sanpoil.
Service on the run is now scheduled to resume Monday, Jan. 6, 2020.
