Overview
In 2015, the legislature provided funding for WSDOT to make safety improvements along US 395 between Pasco and Ritzville. WSDOT has completed the design process and presented the safety improvements to local stakeholders.
The End Result
US 395 between Pasco and Ritzville is a critical freight corridor. This project plans to incorporate acceleration and deceleration lanes, improve existing left turn lanes and construct safety improvements between Pasco and Ritzville to reduce congestion and the risk of collisions. The project will add these improvements to seven out of ten intersections on the corridor; Foster Wells Road, Vineyard Drive, Phend Road, Crestloch Road, Sagemoor Road, Elm Road, and Eltopia West Road/Blanton Road. The contractor will also pave a lane on northbound and southbound US 395.
Project Benefits
The $15 million Connecting Washington investment into the US 395 corridor will improve safety performance by reducing the risk of collisions and relieve congestion.
