US 101 - Elwha River Bridge - Bridge Replacement - NEPA Environmental Assessment

WSDOT and the Federal Highway Administration have published an Environmental Assessment for the US 101 Elwha River Bridge Replacement Project per National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) legislation. US 101 is a major east-west highway across the Olympic Peninsula between Port Angeles and Forks. The current bridge over the Elwha River is 95 years old and has reached the end of its useful life. 

Public comment under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) will be accepted through Oct. 14, 2021.
