A continuous 96-hour, full closure of SR 9 is anticipated to occur during a workweek, Monday through Thursday, once the project is underway.  This will allow crews to excavate the existing roadway, remove the existing culvert, install the new culvert and rebuild the roadway.

This closure requires a proposed 68-mile detour that will utilize:

  • SR 9 (MP 55.9 –84.0)
  • SR 20 (MP 59.3 - 66.1)
  • I-5 (MP 230.0 – 254.8)
  • SR 542 (MP 0 – 14.6)

Advanced warning signs will be placed 14 days prior to the full roadway closure.  By the end of the full closure, at least one lane of SR 9 will be reopened.
