SR 9 - Unnamed Tributary to Pilchuck Creek - Fish Passage - Project detour

A map showing the detour when SR 9 is closed for a culvert replacement in north Snohomish County.

SR 9 will be closed between Monday, Sept 13, 2021, at 6 a.m. and Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, at 6 a.m south of Lake McMurray when WSDOT replaces a culvert under the highway. No wheeled or pedestrian traffic will be able to go through the work zone. The project requires an extensive detour via SR 534, I-5 and SR 530. People who travel in this area will need to plan ahead and allow extra time. Depending on the destination, the detour could require as much as 30 to 45 minutes. Access to the North Centennial Trail Trailhead will be open from the north.
