I-90 - Sprague Ave I/C to Argonne Rd I/C - Paving - Complete June 2021

Project news

The project was completed in June 2021 after the contractor repaired bridge expansion joints.

Needs & benefits

This project will extend between Havanna and Argonne on I-90. The project will rehabilitate the roadway by pouring new HMA (Hot Mix Asphalt) over the existing concrete pavement for a smoother ride. Work is anticipated to begin in the late spring of 2020. Work will take place at night between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. with possible daytime closures of the shoulder. Temporary ramp closures along the project are possible during nighttime hours. The Freya eastbound onramp to I-90 will be a full closure during construction. Motorists will need to detour, during the Freya ramp closure, to the Custer onramp to access I-90 eastbound.

Timeline

Construction began on June 21 and finished in Sept. 2020. Repair work was completed in June 2021.
