I-5 - Martin Way Bridges - Special Repair - Completed August 2018

During summer 2018, crews replaced aging and worn I-5 expansion joints above Martin Way in Lacey. The new expansion joints create a smoother surface for drivers by allowing bridges to expand and contract with changing weather.  Replacement also helps reduce the need for emergency maintenance which can lead to unplanned lane closures. The highway roadwork also helps preserve the citizens investment in the roadway.
