Project delivery:

WSDOT will manage project construction for the I-5/NB Marine View Drive to SR 529 Corridor and Interchange Improvements project through a design-build contract. With design-build project delivery, we execute a single contract with one entity (the Design-Builder) for design and construction services. Please note, the preferred alternative selected by WSDOT in summer 2019 will build a fourth fixed lane that will be designated HOV.

Procurement schedule:

A large map that shows the approximate location of a peak use shoulder lane between Everett and Marysville and the I-5/SR 529 interchange in Marysville.

Project news

  • This project will improve the interchange at I-5 and SR 529 and extend the existing northbound HOV lane from Everett to Marysville.
  • This project will be advertised in April 2021. 
  • WSDOT is overseeing a process to select a project design-builder. Refer to the Contractor Resources for the latest information.
