SPOKANE – People can now comment on the North Spokane Corridor Air Quality Discipline Report.  This report documents the air quality, energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) analyses completed for the 2020 reevaluation of the North Spokane Corridor project in the section from Carlisle Avenue south, across the Spokane River, to I-90.  Comments on the report will be accepted starting today, July 27, to Aug. 25.

This project underwent a National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) reevaluation to examine the potential effects from design revisions in this section of the NSC. The analysis was triggered because the previous transportation conformity determination was over three years old.  The new analysis determined that there is no change to the air quality impacts of the project.

How to comment

NEPA requires the final air quality report be available for a public comment period.

The public comment period for the Air Quality Discipline Report is Monday, July 27 to Tuesday, August 25.

The public can access the summary report at the top of the US 395 - North Spokane Corridor - Environmental & project benefits web page.
