SPOKANE VALLEY – Community members can learn about several safety and congestion improvements planned for the Interstate 90 and Barker Road intersections during a Wednesday, Oct. 23, open house.
The Washington State Department of Transportation will share information about several upcoming projects designed to help reduce congestion and improve safety for all travelers as the region continues to grow.

A brief presentation will be given at 5:45 p.m., but people can stop by at any time during the open house to speak with staff from WSDOT and the city of Spokane Valley about what to expect during construction, ask questions and provide input.
The construction projects are scheduled to start in the spring. Residents and others can stay up-to-date on these and other projects by signing up to receive email updates.
